Saanich, B.C. – The District of Saanich recently released the 2015 Capital Works Project Guide. The guide showcases infrastructure projects the Engineering Department is undertaking this year.
“We do a lot of work developing, maintaining and renewing Saanich’s infrastructure,” said Harley Machielse, Director of Engineering. “This is the first year we have created a guide explaining all of our projects for the year, and it is an excellent resource for the community.”
The 2015 Capital Works Project Guide provides descriptions and background information for transportation, sanitary sewer, storm drain, water works, and construction projects in Saanich.
The Engineering Department is responsible for ensuring Saanich infrastructure supports current and future growth. Their work includes the construction, rehabilitation and reconstruction of sidewalks, bike lanes, roads; as well as water, sewer and drain infrastructure.
