The Friends of Shelbourne Valley are putting on a free transportation visioning forum, featuring guest speaker Todd Litman on Sunday, September 9th from 1:30-4pm at St. Aidan’s United Church at 3703 St. Aidans Street.
- What does a great street look like?
- How can Shelbourne be improved to better serve our community?
- What are ways to make Shelbourne more pleasant and safe for walking?
- Should bike lanes be on the street or up on an expanded sidewalk area on a separated bike track?
- What might improved public transit look like? How would bus bays work (or not)?
- How can we create a ‘complete street’ that serves everybody’s needs: pedestrians, cyclists, motorists, bus users, businesses and nearby residents?
- How can amenities, such as schools, library, shopping, recreation, etc. be more accessible?
