Land Use Planning

The land area covered by the Camosun Community Association is located in the southeast corner of Saanich, British Columbia, Canada.  The community makes up the lower half of the Shelbourne Local Area.  Land use planning within the CCA is dictated by the following long-term planning documents:

Saanich Official Community Plan (2008)

Shelbourne Local Area Plan (1998)

Shelbourne Valley Action Plan (2017)

Other plans and policies within Saanich can also help shape future land use.

The CCA board of directors are all volunteers. Generally, one CCA director takes on the duties related to land use planning, and follows the process as described here.

In addition, the Camosun Community Association and Mount Tolmie Community Association have been working together to produce a joint Community Plan for our neighbourhoods, to be completed by the end of 2017.
