Bowker Creek Blueprint wins 2012 EcoStar award

On September 11, the Capital Regional District (CRD) hosted the 2012 EcoStar Community Environmental Awards, which serve to celebrate environmental leaders across the region – the Bowker Creek Blueprint received the EcoStar Award for Integrated Watershed Management!

If you are not familiar with the project, the Bowker Creek Blueprint is a 100 year action plan to restore the Bowker Creek watershed, which runs from the University of Victoria, through the Shelbourne Valley, and into the ocean in Oak Bay. The BCI has created this 5 minute video about the project.
